Wolfgang Hörl is coming
16. Juli 2010
Strong new blood: Slalom ace Wolfgang Hörl (AUT) will start next season on the racing gear of Marker Völkl. The 26-year-old from Saalfelden is one of the most talented technique specialists in the powerful A squad of the ÖSV, the Austrian Ski Association.
Hörl, who competed in his first World Cup race in Kitzbühel in 2008, has finished twelve times in the top 20 in a total of 23 World Cup starts.
“I am very happy to be tackling the new season with Völkl and the Racetiger. The ski has convinced me, like everyone else. Now that the snow training is beginning I am particularly happy, of course, that I shall in future also be able to profit from the materials experience of someone like Manni Pranger, who has been successful with Völkl for a long time”, says Hörl.
Manfred Pranger is also happy with the reinforcement: “Hörli is a really friendly colleague who fits very well into the Völkl family. With the new material, I believe he can make the jump to join the very top skiers in the world. I value his opinion, so I am looking forward to our testing and training together.”
