Baar, 21 May 2008 – Völkl has won the restigious Plus X award, placing it squarely in the ranks of the most successful participants in Europe's largest technology, sport and lifestyle contest. At yesterday's award ceremony in Cologne's Theater am Tanzbrunnen, the Straubing-based ski maker took home the top award in the "Sport Equipment" product group, the title of "Most

Baar, January 2008 – The 08/09 winter season will bring a genuine milestone in ski binding construction: iPT Wideride, a joint innovation from Marker and Völkl, that is the first fully integrated ski binding system especially tailored for all-mountain skis and perfectly adapted to ski chassis wider than 80 mm.

The RACETIGER is just such a ski – a piece of sports equipment trimmed for high speed and one that helped Nicole Hosp (AUT) to win the Alpine trophy in the 2007 World Cup. The Völkl team of race ski developers pooled their expertise with input from the athletes themselves to make the new RACETIGER generation for top-flight sports skiers who demand maximum on-piste performance. Völkl have carried on developing their race machines for the 08/09 season and have come up with two brand new premium models.
